New Rates Established for Long Distance Calls
The telephone company announced uniform long distance rates effective January 21 by order of Postmaster General Burleson. The changes introduce several service classes with different rates while local rates remain unchanged. Station to station remains the base, determined by airline distance and the initial six miles per six cents up to 24 miles, then five cents per eight miles beyond.
