Allison mail carrier and clever guard dog tale
The Allison Tribune recounts a dog story from No. 10 John Belt where a German police dog greets mail carrier Howard Wehrhan daily. When Wehrhan was off, substitute Francis Allan tried to trick the dog with a different car, but the dog remained loyal, recognizing the carrier and meeting the mail at the curb. The dog even jumped onto the running board when Allan drove away, proving the canine won’t be fooled by a car switch.
