New York February 11 fires destroyed Pier G of the Lehigh Valley Railroad yesterday morning with losses back to $250,000. Vice President I C Andrews of the Guy Savings bank was arrested and arraigned on charges of wilfully fraudulently and knowingly securing over one million dollars from the bank without board knowledge. He was released on ten thousand dollar bail as examination set for February 21.
In Monaco on February 12 Santos-Damont completed his third ascent of the day amid splendid weather. He executed several evolutions with complete success, returning to his starting place to a cheering crowd at the Pleuts of the event.
