Minnie Kingery and Leslie Lee Olson married at St Pauls Methodist Church Elgin with Rev Lee Roy Collins officiating. Lyle Gunderson and Mrs Henderson of Clermont attended the sixth annual Farmers Grain Dealers Association of Town convention in Des Moines January 29 30. About 2000 rural Iowans registered as FGDA General Manager Charles W Han reported the association bought nearly 60 million bushels of Iowa grain last year an increase of over four million from the prior year. Directors were urged to market through cooperatives to gain better prices.

Daryl Helgerson of Postville escaped serious injury when he lost control on highway 18 Sunday around 6:30. His car sheared a utility pole causing a power outage. some power was restored by early Sunday, full restoration by noon. He was taken to Postville Hospital and treated and released. The car was a total loss.
