Obituary notes Dr Henry Patterson of Elkader formerly of Wagner township Clayton County Iowa born June 6 1861 died December 28 1928 after heart failure at his granddaughter Gladys Schori home in Hi gin Iowa aged 77 years 6 months and 18 days He lived on a farm in his youth joined United Brethren then Methodist churches practiced medicine in Groudy Center Toledo Waukon Elkader moving to Elkader in 1892 He left three brothers one granddaughter and a great granddaughter He aided neighbors in harsh conditions and died after a life of service Interment Elkader cemetery services held at his granddaughter’s home and Congregational church in Elkader
