The Rural Postman Weather Ballad Verso
A humorous rural verse about delivering mail in blizzard conditions. The speaker laments cold hardships and snow driven duties as farmers expect mail, pennies and stamps kept in the mail pouch, with knit-worn fingers and snow in the whiskers. The tone is rustic and comic, celebrating perseverance despite freezing wind and drifted snow.
