Red Cross Meeting in Larrabee School Library
Clermont branch of the American Red Cross met at Larrabee school library on Thursday at 4 p.m. Dr. Carr spoke on diphtheria immunization. The Red Cross pledged to sponsor this program in schools. Home Service will distribute Christmas food baskets. Officers were reelected: Chair Mrs. R. V. Brandt, Home Service Chair Mrs. Louise Miller, Sec and Treas Mrs. Dan Burke.

Priscilla Working Band Holds Annual Meeting and Elections
The Priscilla Working Band gathered for its annual business meeting on December 11 with Rev. Gunston leading devotion. Officers reelected include President Mrs Oscar Reierson and Secretary Louise Amundson. A budget and gifts were approved, and plans laid for electric brass candelabra on the church altar in memory of Mrs. G Gunston, with allocations to the Synodical Budget and local treasury.

The West Clermont Lutheran Sunday school presents a carol service titled Christmas Around the World on Christmas Day. The program lists readings by Janet Olson Lois Schweine... and multiple choir and class performances led by Rev. G Gunsten and others, ending with a closing song and benediction.
Santa Claus to visit Clermont Christmas tree
Oily Old Santa Claus will meet all children at Clermont Christmas tree on Tuesday afternoon in December. He vows a dandy treat and asks children to meet him promptly at 8 o clock due to other engagements. Also noted is a local accident where David Hackmann needed two stitches after a shovel fall. Mrs Rafferty and Nellie Sheehan were guests of Mr and Mrs Cooley Sunday.

Clermont Commercial Club Holds December Meeting
The Clermont Commercial Club gathered Monday evening December 16 with 89 men present for dinner hosted by the B. and P. Women's Club. Fred Biermann U.S. representative spoke on his travels abroad. The Little German Band of Elgin entertained during and after dinner. Mr Biermann shared insights from foreign countries. Mrs H A Lubke and daughter Phyllis and Thelma Christiansen attended the Messiah in Fayette Sunday afternoon.

The American Legion Auxiliary met at the home of Mrs. BE Crowe on Tuesday December 10 with Mrs Elmer Osmundson and Mrs Theo Kjosa as assisting hostesses A board meeting was held at 730 pm Mrs RV Brandt read a program on rehabilitation The regular meeting planned Christmas cheer and listed a year long program guiding months and hostess groups including January through December with members named Refreshments followed the meeting with carols led by music chairman Mrs Carr.
