Faster milking means greater milk production with less injury to udders and saving of time. While this looks like a big order, it can be accomplished by working with natural cow reactions. All milk is in the udder when milking starts but only a small part is down in the cistern ready to be retrieved instantly. Handling the udder causes the cow to give down milk, like stroking a cat or patting a dog makes it purr or wag its tail.
