Should a car follow at 35 mph leave more space
A driving rule states that faster speeds require more following distance. Stopping distances show a 35 mph car needs about 120 feet with two wheel brakes and 61 feet with four wheel brakes, versus 39 and 20 feet at 20 mph, so more space is required when speed increases. Mr and Mrs Fred Cline and Mrs R S Henderson visited Waterloo last Wednesday.
