Local Elgin News Roundup Mixed With Holiday Prep
December notes from Elgin and surrounding towns cover visits, arrivals, and house moves. Residents include Mrs. W. H. Leng, Rev. and Mrs. Butler, and Mr. and Mrs. B. Butler. A tankage shipment from Minnesota will arrive, with Welbel Mill promoting dairy feed and Christmas goods. Local tradesmen, road hopes, and personal visits fill the week as neighbors exchange stories and plan winter updates.
