Iowa politics livens year end at state capital
The Iowa Farm Bureau convention sparked vigorous talk of possible runs for governor or senator by Francis Johnson and Mason City general Jack MacNider. State Fair plans face war-time hurdles as Army storage use and unpaid survey costs loom, and liquor stores face potential closures amid shortages.
