A Iowa Department of Health summary shows January through July 1964 rabies reports rising in dogs and cats with 14 cases each, plus 66 rabid cattle and 2 horses, compared with 1963 figures. Health officials note lab confirmed figures understate total cases. Rabies remains fatal without prompt Pasteur treatment and vaccination of pets.
