Elgin Post Office Adverts and Local News From August 25, 1904
A compact Elgin column lists local advertisements and notices including printing rates, a cry for clothing and robing materials, and a storm damage note. It reports residents attending and visiting relatives, ball games in nearby towns, arrivals from Mondovi and West Union, and social events like the O. T. E. picnic with thanks to contributors. It also mentions a proposed rural free delivery mileage wheel to set carrier pay.
