Ed Bloomer, born June 19, 1868 in Canton Glarus Switzerland, died August 20 at his wife's mother’s home near Elgin due to quick consumption. Funeral at German Baptist church Elgin Wednesday 2:00 p.m. with burial at Elgin Cemetery. He came to America in 1880 with uncle Peter Luchsinger. left two children and wife Caroline Lehman. He was known as a friendly, honest, industrious man.
