Canning Factory Items and Local Fisheries Issues
The Elgin Canning Company expands with new conveyors and improved processes for 1001 sweet corn crop though the total yield is down from last year. Cedar Falls and Waterloo plants face smaller outputs due to planting failures and scarce corn. Also critiqued is the harvest of undersized bass by young anglers, urging enforcement and wiser fishing amid stock-restocking efforts.
