Bryan Stevenson notification marks start of Democratic campaign

In Indianapolis on August 10, Bryan and Stevenson were officially notified of their nominations at a large Democratic ceremony in a military park. A parade preceded a three hour event with five speakers, including Richardson and Mayor Taggart, who welcomed attendees and introduced the nominees. Bryan urged immediate congressional action to shape the Philippines policy and independence, while Stevenson spoke briefly amid strong applause, concluding the meeting as Senator Jones adjourned.
