Community Notes From Elgin and Surrounding Towns
A flurry of visits, trips, and family gatherings fills reports from Elgin, Postville, Decorah, and nearby areas. Many residents, including the Mosby, Palb, Morris, Falb, Kiple, and Schori families, are seen visiting kin in St Paul, Fayette, Decorah, and Calmar while others travel to Oklahoma City, West Union, and Rock Valley for work, vacations, or social events. Partnerships, birthdays, and an array of clerical and schooling plans accompany updates on arrivals, departures, and local leisure activities. A fish prize from Lake Superior brings local cheer to hay fever season, while grain markets note rising oats prices and brisk sales options at Bayfield and regional elevators.
