KCRG TV engineers completed reassembly of a transmitter at the new tower site four miles west of Walker. Delays in microwave equipment from Collins Radio caused a postponement of Channel 8 service on its 2000 foot AAT tower. shipment has arrived in Cedar Rapids and installation should be finished with the transmitter tested by the coming weekend. With both transmitters active from the new tower, KCRG TV will cover about 65,000 additional eastern Iowa homes.

Legislature Sets New License Rates in Iowa
The 1967 Iowa legislature announced new license rates and new licenses through the State Conservation Commission. Out of state sportsmen face 5 for season fishing and 20 for season hunting licenses. A one day fishing license costs 1 for both residents and nonresidents. Commercial license changes include 10 for game breeders, 25 for resident dealers, 10 for private fish hatchery operators, and 50 for non resident bait dealers. A 3.10 fish net tag replaces earlier charges. trotline tags rise to 1.10. mussel licenses set at 10 for residents.

Jim Hosch, Clayton County Extension Director, reports 665 head entered for the 113th Clayton County Fair August 10 to 14 1967. Dairy exhibits total 269 head, baby beef and beef heifers 144, swine 170, sheep 43, horses and ponies 42, with swine and horse pony departments reaching record numbers. Cattle numbers approximate last year. Junior division shows include 4 H and FFA projects in home economics poultry rabbits woodworking and more along with demonstrations judging and livestock parade.
