New Promosal for School Lunch Funds
May issue of the School Lunch newsletter reports the American School Food Service Assn proposing 62? cents per meal reimbursement plus 1 percent extra to offset commodity losses. The plan anticipates next year’s commodity supply being about 1 percent lower than the 1962 to 1964 average. The ASFSA total request is 64 2/3 cents per meal, but some doubt the 6 percent figure. The author urges support and asks readers to write Iowa Congressmen in favor.
