Obituary: Mildred Minihan 70 Dies in Elkader

Funeral services were held April 4 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church Elkader for Mildred Gertrude Minihan 70 who died March 31 from an apparent accidental death at Mc Taggart Furniture in Elkader. She was born in Guttenberg July 5 1896 and married Martin H. Minihan in Dubuque on November 11 1918. Survived by five children Patrick For mosa William Canton Vivian Los Angeles Dorothy Souvignier Canton and Betty Nagel Emmetsburg. Pallbearers listed.

Lydia Elizabeth Siems 75 of Danville Iowa died April 1 at Burlington Hospital after ten days as a patient. Born May 26 1890 in Grand Meadow Township Clayton County she taught in Fayette County and Lake Mills before marrying Walter D Siems on August 10 1921. Survived by husband a daughter Leon Jacob and family a son John Siems two brothers and a sister five grandchildren. Services April 4 at Oak Street Baptist Church Burlington with burial Prairie Grove Cemetery.

Death of Fred Grimm from Quincy Illinois

Fred Grimm of Quincy Illinois died Friday after a two year illness. Funeral services were held at the Apostolic Christian Church in Taylor Missouri with burial there. Illyria Clipperettes 4-H News Meeting Updates

The Illyria Clipperettes 4-H group met March 13 at Janice and Debra Friederichs with 11 members and one guest. Officers for 1967 were announced. Members were instructed on 4-H county business and demonstrated projects including a "Science Why" and muffin making. A theater party was attended Sunday. mothers Mrs Fau ser and Mrs Wenger were present. A second meeting on April 3 at Lara Lee Wenger’s welcomed 14 members and two new members.

Club Meeting Notes From April At Cindy McMillan Home

The club gathered April 10 at Cindy McMillan's home with 11 members and one new member Cynthia Butikofer answering roll call. The vice president opened the meeting. topics included program books and pages of Today’s Girl. Demonstrations and talks followed. A planning committee was appointed for a club tour and the group voted to contribute $5 to the International Farm Youth Exchange Program with lunch served by the hostess.
