Elver Patterson oldest son of John and Josephine Patterson was born near Eskader Clayton county Iowa on September 6 1867 and died March 26 1938 in Gnadenhutten Ohio from a heart attack and complications. He married Mies Mayo Finch in 1889 and had three sons, two surviving. After farming near Fayette he moved to Elgin and later Ohio marrying Nelle Drumm in Uhrichsville in 1909. Surviving are his widow two sons Ira Patterson and siblings in Iowa Ohio Indiana and Oregon. Funeral services were held March 29 at the Moravian church with interment at Gnadenhutten cemetery.
The Elgin Iowa town council met in regular session with all members present. Minutes were read and approved. Bills audited include power and lighting, clerk salaries, and other municipal costs.
