Vocal numbers were judged by Prof. Stark from the University of Iowa and instrumentals by Harold Woolbridge. Ratings include vocal quartets and solos with several participants receiving very good or excellent marks. Also noted was a Fun Night hosted by 8th grade pupils featuring a Ding-pong tournament won by Chel Gehring and circle two step dances led by Sheldon Boyle.

4-H Leaders Training School Progresses in Oven Products

Four-H girls finish two training sessions and prepare for a third at Mrs. Louis Kiel's home north of Fayette in Virginia Vaupel led demonstrations on white cakes Angel Food jelly roll and cookies. Earlier sessions taught bread and a variety of rolls and pastries under local leaders guidance.

Senior Day at Upper Iowa University Highlighted

About 250 northeast Iowa high school students are expected at Upper Iowa University for senior day on Tuesday April 24. The program starts with 9 a.m. registration followed by a musical program and a one act play as part of the entertainment. The event was instituted years ago and has drawn large attendance in the past.
