Boise City is a growing Idaho town of about 5000 with new water works brick capitol building at 100000, brick court house 85000 and brick public school 60000 built in last three years. New blocks total 200000, plans for more 10000 to 100000 each, and electric streetcar lines contemplated. irrigation ditches run through streets using Chinese water wheels to raise water for gardens. Rough notes detail wells at east foot of mountain yielding hot water and plans to pipe to homes, plus ongoing debate over Prohibition Detective methods and Iowa Republican stance on prohibition.
Mr Ibach graded streets last week from the M K church corner to Dr Kings and from Ellsworth House to the next corner with the central depot route. The work, done at his own expense using the Sneader Road Machine, improved the bad surfaces though filling remains. The machine is light and strong with a front draft and a short coupled front truck for tight turns. The Grundy County Republican endorses Hon D Kerr for governor and notes potential time changes for the C I J to connect with the N W Flyer improving Chicago Iowa Falls mail and passenger service. Citizen editor John Dolph of the Eldora Lean visited Iowa Falls discussing Hardin county representative election and endorsing impartial legislation against rings and monopolies.
