District Court session adjourns to June 22 for equity cases
District Court, in session over decoration day, adjourns Saturday evening until June 22 when Judge Weaver returns to dispose of several equity cases. The three week term disposed of many matters including State vs Dagobert Doll on payment of $10 and costs, nuisance dismissals in several cases, a $300 nuisance fine for Maitland Smith, and a $3800 nuisance fine for Belmond Koontz with conditions. Juries were unable to reach verdicts in some nuisance cases, and liquidated claims such as Agnes Walmsly v. John Walmsly awarded $275 to plaintiff. Additional items include a damages judgment for theAckley town case, a $150 verdict for Ruth Van Buskirk v. Dubuque & Sioux City Ry, temporary guardian appointment for S.8. Willcox, and town incorporation actions for Radcliffe with appointed commissioners to arrange an election.
