James I. Nichols of Hubbard Iowa files as a candidate for County Supervisor in the Republican primary process subject to the party decision.
The Republicans of Tiivdin county will meet in delegate convention on Tuesday August 14 1585 at 11 am at the courthouse in Midora to select eleven delegates for the State Convention at Des Moines Iowa August 22 1888 and delegates to the Third District Congressional Convention. Representation is one delegate per township plus one for every twenty five votes or fraction over twelve cast for Governor Larrabee in the November 1887 election. Township allocations listed. The Republican Primary election for Hardin county is scheduled for Saturday August 25 1888 to nominate candidates for clerk of the district court county recorder supervisor and one member of the county central committee per township. Polls open by 3 p m at usual township polling places and close at the specified time.
The Republican county central committee of Eldora Iowa will convene Monday August 27 1888 at 1 p.m. to canvass the election results and organize for the campaign.
