Washington City March 24 The secretary of the treasury Monday afternoon calls for the redemption of bonds. The call is for 10,000,000 dollars of the 8 percent loan of 1.82. The principal and accrued interest will be paid May 1, 1868.
Omasta Nebraska March 2. A deadly farmhouse siege ended when a mob set fire to a barn and killed the desperado Alea Wright after he killed two men wounded eight others and held a crowd at bay.
