Mrs Clampitt was elected to lead the Hardin county 4 H club committee for the coming year at the fall organization meeting. Mrs Ludwig Wegner Concord township and Mrs Bruce Hadley Union won new terms on the committee. Other members with ongoing terms include Mrs Martin Lauterbach Mrs Claude Sanders and Mrs Ralph Eller. Twenty seven committee women and club leaders attended, with Julia Paukinson providing planning guidance and Jacquiline Dolph discussing Home Furnishings as the fall activity. Soybean Support Rate Set Across Iowa Counties
The state production and marketing administration set a 1950 soybean support rate of $2.09 per bushel in Hardin Grundy and Marshall counties, the highest in Iowa. State rates range from $2.06 to $2.09. Loans exist at these rates for soybeans stored on farms until January 31 with eligibility requiring U S No 2 grade or better and moisture not over 14 percent. No storage fee will be paid this year.

Wildlife Club Sells Deer in City Park
The Eldora Wildlife Club sold ten deer from the city park to Shawal ee of Jackson Wisconsin after the September club meeting. The buyer sent half the payment by check and will collect the animals later this month. The club, licensed to raise and sell deer, previously sold two to the Wisconsin firm last year and says care in the city park remains costly while planning for future housing at Hudson Memorial Park continues.
