Trout-Valde Marriage Vows In Church Service
The marriage of Miss Bette Trout of Eldora to Tha’ Valde of Eldora was solemnized at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 17, at the Congregational church in Eldora with Rev. Ralph B. Imes officiating before 200 guests. A four tier cake, blue carnations and white pompons decorated the altar as music was provided by Mrs. C. R. Johnson. The bride wore a lace gown with a sequined veil. she was given in marriage by her father. Joylyn Winters served as maid of honor with bridesmaids in electric blue gowns. best man was Stanley Valde with ushers Paul Valde and Richard Valde. The couple will reside at 1508 West 20th Ave, Eldora after a short wedding trip.

W S C 8 Group III Luncheon and Meeting Notes
The W S C S 8 Group III served a 1 pm luncheon for the Methodist church on Wednesday November 13. A general meeting followed with Mrs Howard Frey presiding and reports on the Philippines work and division goals. The group plans a public dinner and bazaar at the church on December 12 and will host the parsonage fundraiser December 5.

The Eldora Fellowship of agr ecclesiastical Christian Women held its November meeting at 2:30 pm in the church parlors on Wednesday November 13. Mrs James Heslop presided in the absence of the president with prayers and a poem. Baptist Fellowship Dinner Brings Church Members Together
The Women's United Circle of the Baptist church hosted the annual fellowship dinner on Friday evening November 15. Devotions were given by Jack Hoffman and Mrs Don Rabe served as mistress of ceremonies. Mr and Mrs Ray Paylor sang a duet written by Mrs Chester. Rev H C Short introduced speakers and Rev Bob Banyning and family, Philippines missionaries, narrated with a recording. Table decorations featured chrysanthemums candles and horns of plenty arranged by Mr and Mrs G R Eklund. The Pleasant Chapel Cemetery Society held a potluck dinner with 26 members present.
