Electric Co op Building Approved for Hardin County
The Rural Electrification Administration in Washington, D C has approved plans for the 166000 dollar Hardin County Rural Electric Cooperative building at Town Falls. Harry Frey, manager, said construction could start within 60 days with completion hoped for next spring. The stone masonry structure measures about 100 by 150 feet and includes an eight stall garage, warehouse, and office with room for community meetings. Electric heating is under consideration and the building will be on its own power lines.

Eldora high school captured the team trophy at the Iowa State Training School for Boys first annual automobile roadeo held in Eldora on April 30. Otto Brandt of Hubbard won the top individual trophy with 274 points in written and field events.
