Hubbard Park Pancake Fry Honors Edward Larson Before Overseas Service
A pancake fry at Hubbard park honored Pfc. Edward Larson who leaves Tuesday for overseas service. Attendees included Larson and many Larson family members, neighboring Hendrick and Dubberke families, and the New Horizons Women’s Club who held their last meeting of the season with a picnic lunch. The Brandt reunion followed at the park shelter with many relatives from Eldora Ledyard Waterloo and Town City, planning the next gathering for June. Visiting residents from Del Rio Texas and others spent weekends with local families as Rev. Knowles conducted evangelistic meetings at Mt. Auburn.
