Washington reports a Congressional committee questioned Brower Sol Lavitt of the National Potato Council whose Connecticut farm near Ellington faces shortages and a ceiling price on potatoes. Agriculture officials said supply could rise with greater early state production, but a price ceiling kept growers from expanding.
