Butterfield Honored For Outstanding Service At College

News from San Bernardino California reports that two Valley college instructors received gold keys and appeared on a public program honoring outstanding service to the college in the past year. A C Butterfield, former superintendent of the Union school, was one of the recipients and is identified as the brother of Mrs Bruce Barnes of Union.

Kum Bac Class Plans Supper

The Kum Bac class of the Christian Sunday school met Wednesday afternoon at Mrs. Harley Lawrence's home. Fifteen members attended as Mrs. Ray Wirth presided and Mrs. Virgil Miller led the devotional. They planned a fried chicken supper for July 20 at the church and discussed August 2 a meeting with Mrs. Henry Hudspeth at Steamboat Rock. Refreshments were served.
