Hog trade at Chicago stock yards and local events
A carload of prime butcher hogs was sent to the Chicago stock yards by the Steamboat Rock Shipping association for 7.39 per cwt. Eldora High School will send 63 musicians to the state music contest in Inwa City. About 150 to 200 Iowa Flight Operators plan a May 6 picnic at Fine Lake, with landings at Ideal airport and transportation by Eldora Chamber of Commerce. One Eldora musician will perform with the U S Navy Band in Waterloo. The South Hardin chapter American Red Cross raised 5254.48 in its annual drive, earning a distinguished service certificate for 1948.
