Fire destroys Brennecke block in Hubbard
A major Hubbard fire last Friday night consumed an unoccupied south Main street building owned by Brennecke and spread to adjacent wooden structures. Losses totaled about 11 000 with several insured, including Brennecke and Knight stock. Firefighters fought the blaze through the alley where the Nichols store narrowly escaped damage.

Lewdness and keeping a house of ill fame case in city
Marshal Scurry arrested Flora Dillon and Samuel Babcock after complaints. At Mayor Moir they faced lewdness and running a house of ill fame charges. Babcock held to answer district court in 100 dollars, Dillon in 200 dollars. Both jailed for lack of bonds. C. 2. Albrook and C. L. Hays represented state and defendants.
