Crowds gather as updates from Mafe King are awaited. Officials have not released new details, prompting residents to monitor press conferences and social media for any statements or declarations.
London crowds await Lord Roberts relief news as Mafeking is hoped to be relieved, while Kitchener possibly leads the relief column. A Kroonstadt dispatch notes Gen French locating the Boers at Rhenoster Spruit and river bridge destruction. Roberts reports Lindley occupation and 24 Boers captured by Gen Hutton, including a relative of Commandant Botha.
W S Reeves, a deputy auditor linked to postal frauds, confessed to postal authorities and handed over 4500 dollars said to be his by Neely for services when Neely left for the United States. Albany reports Roosevelt to hear extradition of Neely on May 21.

Walter Gordon and his brother-in-law Beauty Ingram, both named as executors, were executed in Clinton Alabama for the March 31 murder of Tom Buntsin during a failed store robbery. Gordon confessed denying any other motive. Ingram had watched outside. Britain, a store clerk, was alone inside the store when the killing occurred at night. The body was found the following morning.

Mrs. Julia Perry died at 6 this morning at 416 North Stanton street aged 24 from consumption. She came to El Paso two years ago from San Antonio. Funeral Sunday morning under Nagley and Lyons with interment at Evergreen. Florinda Tatum infant daughter of King Tatum center block porter died yesterday afternoon aged 1 month 5 days. Funeral today.
Prof. G. W. Kosch will open a private summer school at the Central school starting Monday the 21st instant.
Closing exercises for El Paso High School held at Myar Opera House feature a full program of orations essays and musical numbers. Attendance is expected to be high with decorations and pink and green class colors on display as diplomas are presented.
In New York on May 18 copper and other metals were quoted with a silver price of 60 and lead at 4.20 in Mexican money. The El Paso quotation showed copper at 474 and 48.
Dora Quinn filed for divorce this morning citing cruel treatment by Arthur Quinn as the grounds for the suit.
