Dalzell proposed a resolution to limit House meetings to Mondays and Thursdays. Bailey urged against adjournment while the bankruptcy bill stalls. McMillan attacked Reed as an obstructionist, delivering a sharp critique. The vote on the resolution was 101 yeas to 81 nays.
Julius Baker, an employee of J. A. Wright, dies at midnight from a pistol shot by Charles H. Springer, a traveling salesman. Wright, suspecting an affair, and Baker confronted Springer in Wright's home. Springer fired from inside, Baker died, Wright wounded Springer and surrendered to the county jail with plans to kill Springer after release.
Mr. Copeland returns from the north while Father Pinto goes to Sierra Blanca for mineral surveys. Governor Thornton departs for Arizona and Sonora amid talk of a regional boom. In New Port court house today the effects of Scott Jackson one of Pearl Bryans murderers were arranged for shipment to his relatives. A razor blood stained coat one pair trousers and the valise in which the murdered girls head is supposed to have been carried to its unknown resting place with several trinkets were packed.

A six story candy factory owned by Albert Reen in Williamsburg burned this morning. Loss estimated at under 50 000 dollars. The blaze left about 300 workers unemployed. Two firemen were seriously injured in the fire.

Albert Frantz who faced electrocution for the murder of his sweetheart Bessie Little was granted an indefinite respite this morning in Dayton Ohio. The delay postpones the planned execution scheduled for today.
