Congressmen William D. Daly of New Jersey died suddenly this morning of apoplexy. A Democrat of great influence and popularity, he was offered the nomination for governor and was elected to Congress by the largest majority ever in his district. Both parties admired him.
United States ambassador to Berlin Andrew D White traveled from Berlin aboard the steamship Deutschland toward America. He returns to attend his daughter’s wedding, with the ceremony planned in about two weeks.
