A London stock rumor claims Buller news is favorable, and the queen seeks updates via the war office wire amid crowds at Osborne House.
The Democratic National Committee members from Maryland to New York discuss Jennings Bryan as the party nominee this year. All 24 respondents favor Bryan, though White of Washington predicts his defeat over the Philippine issue. Bryan tours New England today with stops in Stamford and New Haven before returning to New York. He met with Norman E. Mack and others at the Hoff man House.
