Fire at G uoose Sugar Refining elevator kills three

An explosion ignited the Goose Sugar Refining Company elevator in Davenport Louisiana. The blast badly damaged the crane and caused a fire with losses estimated at 15 000 dollars. William Wolf and his daughter died when a wall toppled on them. Frank Stevens John Mann and John Rapp perished from falling bricks.

Missouri free silver advocates to hold October convention

Reports say one of the Pineville bank robbers was captured about twenty miles from Southwest City amid threats of lynching if he reaches the scene. The Man Identified in El Paso Operator Murder

Denver reports the operator of El Paso, John Nertney, was murdered. Suspect “Stock Yards Mike,” a prize fighter, has been arrested. Killing Near Silver City Points at Black Jack Gang

Shorty Miller, cattle thief, was shot in both legs at his Mule Creek ranch. Two men in the attack are suspected members of the Black Jack gang.
