Judge J G Ragsdale levied 615 in fines on Wednesday in Municipal Court. Individuals cited include John Cason for driving while intoxicated 130, Andrews Billings for assault 10, Jonnie Murphy for assault and disturbing the peace 20, and several others fined 10 to 50 for offenses such as possession of a deadly weapon reckless driving and running stop signs.

Abbott read the bids. lowest was Wilson-Hargett Construction Co. at 171,750 followed by Matthews 192,000 Wayne Smith 195,850 and John Hampton 198,900. Other bids ranged up to 239,900. Officials will review bids and announce within 30 days.
