Barton Band to Perform at Municipal Auditorium Concert
The Barton Junior High Band directed by William L. Craig will headline a Friday evening concert at 7 30 at the Municipal Auditorium. Also on the program are the Dorado High School Band led by Dix Stallings and the Rogers Junior High Band led by Robert L. Hooper. The Barton ensemble, a 67 piece group, will perform Show Business March Amor The Blue and the Gray and Civil War melodies including Marching Through Georgia Tenting Tonight The Yellow Rose of Texas Aura Lee and The Hymn of the Republic. Members listed include flutists oboists bassoonists clarinetists saxophonists brass players and others such as Jane Alderson Ricky Smith Benny Duke Larry Chandler and many more.
