Shehane Fills Bolding Term on Council
Harvey B. Shehane was elected to the Al Dorado City Council to fill the vacancy caused by W. A. Bolding's death during a regular council meeting at City Hall. Jerry Watkins was named to the Library Board for a six year term starting Jan 1, 1968. The council accepted a bid from Gilliam Brothers for ready mix concrete and approved two bills over $500 for payment.

Visiting Minister Due In Two Churches
Rev Marshall Bridwell, superintendent of The Camden District, will preach Sunday at 9 am at the Lisbon Methodist Church and at 10 50 am at Dumas Memorial Methodist Church. Rev James E Robben, pastor, is a native of Missouri who attended Central College Fayette and Perkins School of Theology SMU Dallas and has served at First Methodist Popular Bluff and Ferguson Memorial in St Louis. He was assigned to the Camden District in June 1964.

The Second Division awarded Meritt Tin Co. of Monroe judgment against Cleveland Smiley et al for 540 plus 6 percent interest from the date. Attorneys’ fees equal to 1 percent of the price were ordered. A first lien on chattels was granted if unpaid in 10 days and Rush Hooten named commissioner to conduct sale. In a separate case J T McQuade shoe store vs Frances P Lake the refinery was discharged and proceedings dismissed without prejudice.
