Four Injured In Highway Collision Near El Dorado
Four people injured in a two car crash four miles south of El Dorado at the Highway 167 Iron Mountain Road intersection at 9 30 am Sunday. Elmer Berry 81 admitted with head lacerations and a broken collarbone. The Mascotts Mrs Mary Helen and Christine Taylor treated and released. Ed Mascott admitted for observation. Milton David Clawson 40 of Alvin Texas and family escaped injury. Investigating officers A Pieroni and Travis Nash reported the Mascott car was turning left onto Iron Mountain Road when struck by Clawson southbound car.

Christmas Window Service Expanded at Local Post Office
Postmaster Henry T. Hogg announces extended Christmas service at the local post office. Beginning Monday December 13 the parcel post and stamp window will be open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Hours for the week starting December 18 will be announced later. Previously the window operated 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sundays. Hogg urges mailing early and using ZIP codes to ensure Christmas delivery.
