Mrs Lour Alice Sexton died at her Staunton area home at 2 15 this morning after a brief illness. Born January 9 1861 at Dorchester she married Wesley Sexton in 1877. Her husband died February 10 this year. Surviving are two sons Marvin and Oscar Sexton near Staunton four grandchildren and one brother I I Sawyer of Taylorville. Funeral will be Thursday at 1 30 from the residence with burial at Taesawyer Cemetery.

Troy Man Found Dead in a Well
Charles Mantle seventy seven? No, 57 year old Troy resident and former coal miner was found headfirst in a county home well at 4 30 this morning. Officials believe he jumped in during the night while despondent over ill health. Mantle had suffered nervous disorders for years and had slept in his room at the county home last night as staff noted his absence this morning. Two Men Released From County Jail In 1927 Madison Holdup
Two men held for weeks as suspects in the Ebner Altz murder at Madison’s First National Bank will not face charges here. Howard Lee aged 39, to be turned over to St Louis authorities for possible concealed weapon charges, and Leo L. Gough 36, a St Louis cab driver, were freed. Lee was arrested April 19 after Sheriff Hermann pursued him in Southern Illinois. he carried a large caliber gun. Gough had been questioned about movements of the bandits after the March 16 theft in which 23,500 dollars was taken. Milwaukee officers continue seeking a man linked to a 1924 Milwaukee robbery. Potential suspects named Herman L. Lamm and others are listed.
