Unsafe Cahokia Creek Bridge Reopened After Repairs
Cahokia Creek Bridge on Route 372 north of Eywardsville was closed yesterday afternoon when the old floor proved unsafe for heavy traffic. Repairs involved temporary supports and rushing new flooring. Route 112 will detour for two to three months while Route 4 is resurfaced between Edwardsville and Route 16. County highway officials W. E. Howden and C. M. Slaymaker coordinated the effort. traffic to resume tomorrow morning.
