He said he joined the payroll after first elected in 1925 earning three thousand six hundred dollars a year for doing no work. Defense questions cited bills to injure district activities and Malloy claimed he voted against redistricting Chicago representation.

East St Louis dispatch reports Illinois Tuberculosis Association spent 875000 on sanitariums in Tillmoi in 1928 with Madison County at 125000 including 47000 for repairs. Fourteen pending criminal charges in the Circuit Court were placed on a setting to be heard before Judge Jesse R. Brown beginning January 13.
