Expectant Moth Died in Ambulance Near Livingston

Mrs. Goldie Maze VanHooser of Olive Township south east of Livingston died in an ambulance en route to St. Francis Hospital Litchfield after a severe tonsillitis attack. She was 38 years, a mother to six sons, wife of John Van Hooser, daughter of Joseph and Maze of Wood River. Funeral planned Sunday at 1:50 p.m. from her residence, Olive Cemetery burial.

Michigan College Prize Horse Shines at Chicago Show

Treston Wolfe, junior champion Belgian stallion, won the King Albert Cup at the International Live stock Exposition in Chicago. The Michigan State College owns the prize horse. Belgium’s horse society awarded the trophy, presented by Dr. C. Vermeren of Belgium. J. EK. Falconer of Vogan, Sask., earned the grand championship Clydesdale stallion with Loch Invar, while A. G. Soderbert of Osco, Ill., took the reserve with Green Meadow Reliance. More than 1,200 4-H members attended a banquet, and corn stalks were shown as a potential newsprint source for farmers. Clarence Goecke, 12, grand champion steer owner, sold for $7 a pound yesterday and will attend today before returning home.

Details emerge at Etzel Fiorito trial of a planned jail delivery by inmates Kurant and Etzel in October. Kansas City reports the Missouri Medical Society board of censors sustained a suspension of Dr A L Skoog a noted psychiatrist. In Tucson Arizona Professor Frank Otis Reed 52 a University of Arizona faculty member and former Madison Wisconsin resident died from influenza after a two day illness. At Her Home Miss Hilda Haynes remains confined at home with appendicitis.

Madison County Mutual Automobile Insurance Company may become a straight old line company within twelve months, cutting the chance of special assessments and offering flat rates with higher liability limits. Reserve fund has grown to 93506.51 amid rising costs, while assets total 107994.61 and policyholders reached 1831 as of December 1.

Condemnation Suit Filed Over Small Land Tract

The St. Louis Connecting Railroad Co files a condemnation suit in Circuit Court against heirs of Mrs. Anna Cook to obtain about 283 acres for a connecting track to the Illinois Terminal Railroad. Forty six known heirs plus unknown potential heirs and Collinsville are named defendants. The case centers on will tests and possible estate valuation around $88,000 with possible City of Collinsville shares. The action appears aimed at facilitating rail interchange with limited litigation.

Funeral for Gus Spitze Sunday in Edwardsville

The funeral of Gus Spitze, longtime Edwardsville resident now of Minneapolis for nine years, will be Sunday afternoon. Services begin at 1:30 pm at Marks-Weber funeral home and 2:00 pm at Immanuel M. E. Church, with Rev. I F Otto officiating. Pallbearers are Roland Spitze, Lester Lange, Walter Hosto, and Milton Hosto. Interment follows at Woodlawn Cemetery.

Jaime Del Rio, former husband of film star Dolores Del Rio and a noted Mexican aristocrat, died at 5:84 this afternoon in a Berlin private sanatorium after paralysis and blood poisoning following a carbinecla operation.

Radio Conference At Washington On Radio Legislation

Washington December 7 a conference of legislators focused on radio legislation was called by Chairman Watson to address the muddled situation. Senator Dill and Representative White join in proposing bills to empower the commission to raise its attorney salary to defend against corporate suits.
