Two Collinsville residents died within hours of each other. Momus Seets aged 74 previously of Carbondale and St Louis, died at 8 40 PM from heart trouble with survivors including three daughters and three sons. Man Saved Boy to Receive Medal of Honor
William Patrick a 19 year old former Wood River resident living near Springfield will receive a Medal of Honor from President Hoover for saving Sam Faranda a year old crippled son of Mr and Mrs Sam Marandy of 8 North Main Street Wood River. Patrick noticed the child’s foot caught between a rail and crossing board at a Big Four line and freed him just before an approaching train.
