Woman Arrested After Alleged Assault In Snohomish County

A woman was arrested on scene and later jailed in Snohomish County while being investigated for first degree assault. Police reports describe her taunting her injured boyfriend, threats of killing, and a pursuit that ended with a confrontation near their home. She later entered an Enterprise office to use a phone and claimed her boyfriend had tried to kill her.

Lynnwood woman allegedly tries to run man down in feud

A 38 year old Lynnwood woman named Sue Black allegedly attempted to strike Stephen Jefferson 31 with a car in the Pay n Save parking lot after a dispute. Jefferson dodged into an embankment and the car struck a fir tree causing damage while he nursed a non fatal leg injury.

Lock Box Removed After Lynnwood Burglary

Mildred Westover in Lynnwood had a real estate lock box removed after a burglary during her vacation in October. She reported $1,500 in jewelry stolen and had locks replaced, noting items including a 1939 high school class ring. Westover notified police and the firm Paul Thompson and Associates so keys could no longer access her home.

Edmonds Sign Code Amortization Faces Public Hearing

Edmonds five year amortization for nonconforming signs ended May 22 triggering variances and appeals. The council plans a public hearing next Tuesday to decide if the hearing examiner should handle future variance appeals instead of the council. The issue risks the entire sign code amid payments for signs legally in place since 1971 under interstate vision laws.

Angry man subdued in Lynnwood tavern

Curt Bajema of Everett was struck by a broken pool cue tip during a dispute at Village Inn Tavern in Lynnwood. Ronald Harmon of Lynnwood was subdued by patrons and removed after returning with a tire iron. police reported Harmon claimed the cue break was an accident.

License offices close for Veteran's Day observance

The Department of Licensing will close all driver licensing offices on Friday, November 11 in observance of Veteran's Day. Offices resume regular hours Saturday, November 12, with hours from 8 30 a.m. to 4 30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday except holidays.

Teacher resigns after marijuana possession plea

English teacher Larry Dosser, 47, at Woodway High School resigned after pleading guilty to marijuana possession. He faced a two year deferred sentence with probation, a $500 fine to Seattle Food Bank, and 50 hours community service. Dosser had taught in the Edmonds School District 22 years and was arrested after police found marijuana plants at his Seattle home.
