MADD pushes tax and insurance bills to aid drunken driving victims
Mothers Against Drunk Drivers chapters in Snomohmish and North King County lobby for a tipplers tax on alcohol and mandatory driver liability insurance in Olympia this winter. Doug Eglington says the group seeks public support despite anticipated industry opposition, aiming to fund victim aid, law enforcement, courts, rehab, and education through the alcohol tax and ensure coverage with mandatory insurance.
